AssessmentsI am certified in the following assessments. I have administered each of the assessments with hundreds of clients in both individual and group settings. These can be used as stand alone team development workshops or as part of an ongoing coaching structure. The Social and Emotional Intelligence Profile The Social and Emotional Intelligence Profile (SEIP)® is a comprehensive, statistically-reliable, scientifically-validated instrument used by hundreds of coaches around the world. The SEIP four-quadrant model (self-awareness, self-management, other awareness, relationship management) measures the 26 competencies identified as critical in socially and emotionally intelligent individuals, teams and organizations. In addition to identifying areas of strength and areas for improvement, the instrument provides detailed descriptions of emotionally and socially intelligent behaviors when present and when lacking, as well as extensive suggestions for development for the individual receiving the results. Intercultural Development Inventory The Intercultural Development Inventory (IDI) assesses intercultural competence – the capability to shift cultural perspective and appropriately adapt behavior to cultural difference and commonalities. The IDI measures individuals’ and groups’ placement along the Intercultural Development Continuum (IDC). The IDC describes orientations toward cultural differences ranging from the more monocultural mindsets of Denial and Polarization through the transitional orientation of Minimization to the intercultural mindsets of Acceptance and Adaptation. The IDI is used across a range of industries to engage individuals, groups, and organizations in understanding their approach to cultural differences. The CliftonStrengths Assessment This online test (StrengthsFinder) measures the intensity of your talents in each of the 34 CliftonStrengths themes. These 34 themes represent what people do best. They categorize all that's right with humankind -- distilled down to 34 different themes. Immediately after completing the CliftonStrengths assessment, you'll receive your results in a report featuring customized descriptions of your rank-ordered dominant strengths.

CoachingI provide both individual and group coaching. I offer an initial 30 minute intake meeting at no cost to discuss your goals and ensure we are a good match for coaching. From there we co-create a coaching agreement outlining the number of sessions, frequency of meetings and rate. I offer both short term (2 to 5 sessions) and long term (6 month to multi-year) coaching contracts. Individual coaching We will focus on authentic leadership by deepening self-awareness and building leadership competencies; and provide thought partnership and guidance for navigating professional spaces. Group coaching In these sessions we focus on developing more effective team dynamics, skills for engaging in healthy conflict, and capacity for engaging in courageous conversations. Both individual and group coaching can include the use of assessment tools. These tools help to provide insight about both individual’s and group’s strengths and competencies; and can be used to deepen connections and build strong team dynamics. I am certified in three different coaching assessments: Social and Emotional Intelligence Profile Gallup’s StrengthsFinder Intercultural Development Inventory See Assessment drop down for more information.

Organizational DevelopmentI work with organizations and individual leaders to co-create and implement sustainable organizational change. I will meet with key stakeholders to identify the organizational challenges, strengths, needs, and goals. We would then co-create an intervention plan with clear goals, timelines, actions, and outcomes. I focus on three key areas: Mission, Vision, Values Development/Realignment The journey of mission, vision, and values development/realignment begins with identifying what is most important to the organization (values). This creates a discussion to identify what you hope to achieve (vision), and how you will put all of these components into action (mission). I am skilled at working with new organizations working towards defining how they will create change and organizations that have a rich history with the people they serve. I lead organizations in one day facilitated retreats to multiday engagement with stakeholder focus groups, thematic coding, and any number of services to support your organization’s goal. Strategic Planning Strategic planning moves an organization’s mission and vision into intentional actions and outcomes. We will clearly define realistic goals with milestones to meet the determined success metrics for plans ranging three to five years long. I believe the people in the organization are fundamental to achieving goals and their humanity must be at the center of decision making and strategy. While working with organizations I start by understanding the unique context in which you operate to more accurately assess your capacity to implement your goals. Through this understanding, the content of the interventions and strategies become more tailored to the needs of your organization. Change Management The change management process starts with creating a clear vision for the change the organization wants to create. I work with organizations to articulate to their stakeholders why the change is needed, what will change, how it will change, and who the change will benefit. To ground the change process, we will identify and maximize resources (financial, human, and time) available within the organization to support the plan for change. We will work together to plan phases of change, define milestones for the organization within each phase, and I will be there to guide and coach the organization throughout the change process.

Capacity 4 Leadership RetreatsWe partner with organizations to increase their leadership capacity through a strengths based approach. We provide tools, skill-building and strategies for leaders to (re)center their values and refine their purpose as leaders with each other and those they lead. We work to help develop the leadership capacity of the individual and the collective so that organizations can better lead with value aligned norms, policies and practices. This professional development opportunity is a collaboration between dr. becky martinez of Infinity Martinez Consulting (https://www.infinitymartinez.com/) and Dr. Ale Covarrubias of Foundations for Hope & Justice Consulting (https://www.fhjconsulting.com/). My Approach
My approach to social justice and equity consulting is invitational and strengths-based.
Invitational

My intention is to invite individuals and groups into honest reflections about their beliefs, ways of thinking and behaving. Through this reflective process, individuals choose how they may want to change, grow, or engage in healing.
Strengths-based

Being strengths-based means I support individuals and groups to identify the gift and talents that will support their efforts to be more just and inclusive. By recognizing even the briefest moments of belonging and connection, we can harness the strengths that were used to create those moments to build movements of equity and belonging.
In my approach I also draw upon my experience as a faculty member in Leadership Studies and employ a theoretical framework that combines Organizational Theory, Critical Theory, Social Justice Theory and Change Management techniques to facilitate social change on the individual, group, and organizational levels. I focus on providing practical strategies and developing tangible competencies through a humanistic lens.
